December 2015 - Dressing Your Little Lady

Christmas is the perfect time of year to help your little girl transition into a little lady. It's a tough balance to get right as she will want to look as glamorous as her Mum and also run around with the other kids - she is still a child after all (not that she wants to hear that!).

Tip one: Go shopping together and have some fun - this way you both get to choose the outfit she wears .and it's a great bonding session!

Tip two: If you can afford it, try to get two outfits. This is for two reasons, firstly it saves the "I'm not wearing that" sulk on the day. Even after she has chosen an outfit, it doesn't mean that she will be in the mood for it on that day, so a backup is always a good idea.

Secondly, it saves a last minute shopping trip when an unexpected event pops up - it is the silly season after all.

If you are getting two outfits, make sure they have the same level of sophistication as each other, but from a colour and style point of view make them as different as possible (so if one doesn't appeal on the day, the other should be the perfect match for her mood).

Tip three: I like to add some cherry lip gloss to finish the look and make her feel like the little lady that she is.
